To claim their scholarship grants for the first semester this school year, qualified scholars lined up at the Regional Evacuation Center, Malolos, Bulacan, today December 1.
The scholars are required to bring their Certificate of Registration (COR) from their current school or university, School Identification Card (ID) and social case study for validation. The social case study forms can be acquired at the said place, and be verified by authorities in the Civil Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO), at the New Malolos City Hall.
Meanwhile, if the recipient is unavailable, they can provide an authorization letter attached with a copy of their valid or school ID and their signature for someone who will claim the grant on their behalf.
The schedule for claiming the cash aid started on November 29 and will last until December 4, 2022, according to Malolos Information Office.

“Nag-apply ako noong Grade 12 Senior High School pa kasi I believed it will help me sa mga bayarin ko sa school,” said Kyla, a three-year beneficiary of the program.
“Madali lang naman ‘yong mga requirements at hindi masyadong mataas ang kailangang GWA (General Weighted Average). Konting tiyaga lang ang kailangan,” she added.
Beneficiaries can receive P 5,000 to P 1,000 depending on their subprograms under “Malolenyo Isskolar” Program.

According to City Administration Division Head, Ariel B. Santiago, out of 7,800 scholarship applicants only 7,200 will receive the grant. For those who cannot claim their cash aid on the given date, they may claim it in the City’s Treasury Office, in the following days.
The educational assistance is given by the Mayor Christian D. Natividad under the City Ordinance Blg. 41-2018 or "City of Malolos Scholarship Program" that aims to support students from Senior High School (SHS), vocational courses, and college. With that, at least P 2,000,000 million budget is allotted for scholars every year.
